OUR MISSION.

From our start in 2008 with just 3 horses, to our current family of countless humans, 12 horses, 4 cats and 4 chickens, The Healing Horse Sanctuary has become a safe haven for those who spend their days here. Our dedication to the horses we help is built on our love and respect for every member of our community.

Our mission is to give every one of our rescues a happy life while healing the horses AND people we meet. We hope this kindness ripples out, reaching anyone who needs a helping hand.

We use a variety of holistic approaches to keep our rescues healthy, including reiki, aromatherapy, homoeopathy,
cranial sacral therapy and more.

Some of our residents have come to us from sad or even traumatizing backgrounds, while some come from loving
families thrown into bad circumstances. We never want to turn a desperate soul away.

Our horses know how loved they are because we tell them every day.

Many of our volunteers have come to us through what we like to call “failed pony experiences.” So many of our volunteers thought they were coming for a day, but chose to stay with us. Through copious cups of tea and quiet moments spent with our horses, we have become a family.

We work together as a team and wouldn’t be able to keep doing good without the dedication of our amazing volunteers and supporters.
