Little Penelope, or Penny as we affectionately like to call her, was welcomed to our sanctuary on 11th November 2023 with her 4 little friends Gladys, Ethel, Elsie and Betty, after being rescued from an egg farm by The British Hen Welfare Trust.

Penny is an explorer and is often found roaming on the other side of the sanctuary away from her friends. We found her at the bottom of our track once chatting to our ponies, she lives right at the top of the track!

She is another chick that loves her freedom and quite often isn’t ready for bedtime.
