Ethel joined our sanctuary on 11th November 2023 with her 4 little friends Gladys, Elsie, Penelope and Betty, after being rescued from an egg farm by The British Hen Welfare Trust

Ethel is a quiet but confident lady. She happily enjoys her newfound freedom with her friends and is never too far away from them. She loves exploring and really enjoys her food.

Unfortunately, ex battery hens are never healthy as they are bred solely for producing eggs and end up having underlying health conditions. Therefore, every day with this lovely little chicken is a blessing and we aim to give her the best life.

We are so happy that little Ethel is with us experiencing kindness and compassion.
